A special holiday
Sometimes one holiday keeps coming back at the table for years, usually because of something that wasn't in the brochure. A song can call up those days again via a place, a returning joke and the moment everyone didn't have to be anywhere else for a while.
That holiday everyone still talks about
Sand lies in the car, someone orders the same ice cream every time and the road to the cottage turns out steeper than thought. Look for the details that belong to this holiday. Rain, getting lost or a failed barbecue can also be valuable, as long as it fits how you think back on it.
Which holiday do you want to bring back, where was it and who was there? Give a favourite place, an unexpected incident and a returning ritual; are there jokes that only work with some explanation?
